NEW HELVETIA
Opened in 1915 and classified as a historic monument, it is the oldest hotel in Platres still in operation. It is for this reason that we have chosen to recommend it. Because if the service and quality of this old palace are no longer in the taste of the day, we especially appreciate the retro atmosphere, the surprising decor of the living room with its pine that pushed through the carpet and the roof. For this alone, you can come there with a drink. The restaurant is not worth a detour. Part of the hotel has been recently restored and all rooms have Wi-fi and TV. Six of them were transformed into studio with kitchen. The management, aware of the weaknesses of the facility, proposes frequent reductions.

Very small bedrooms and not very clean.
The beds were hard as rock and the pillows were basically a pancake.
But at least the rooms were warm and the location is very nice

The rooms were small and old and smelled funny. And the walls are so thin you can hear everything.
