This workshop (Δύο Δύο) is run by Konstantina Achilleos. She keeps alive the tradition of the Foini chair (Φοινιώτικη Τσαέρα/Finiotiki Tsaera). The village is renowned for its wooden chairs with string-covered seats, and the local term tsaera is derived from the Old French chaiere ("chair"). The wood comes from nearby forests and the threads are woven "two by two"(δύο δύο/dyo dyo in Greek) to give traditional or contemporary designs. Chairs for sale, as well as handmade knives and jewelry.
