This tavern (Αης Γιώρκης) offers Cretan cuisine that's rather rare in Cyprus: snails, antikristo (lamb cooked vertically facing the fire), souvlaki (skewers), grilled feta with tomato marmalade, gigantes (lingot beans), dakos salad (tomatoes and large croutons), stuffed zucchini flowers, grilled oyster mushrooms as well as a few Cypriot dishes. The room's decor is unremarkable, but everything is homemade and of high quality, the terrace and service are friendly, and dessert (orange cake) is on the house.
