MUSÉE DE LA LUTTE POUR L'INDÉPENDANCE

This museum (Μουσείο Αγώνος/Mousio Agonos, Museum of Struggle) is the country's oldest dedicated to the struggle for independence waged by the National Organization of Cypriot Fighters (EOKA) from 1955 to 1959. Created within the monastery in 1960, it is now housed in a house that once housed an arms cache. Weapons, uniforms and documents of local fighters, moving photographs of Omodos residents detained by British soldiers.
