This Greek Orthodox monastery (Ιερά Μονή Παναγίας Αμασγούς/Iera Moni Panagias Amasgous) lies in a beautiful natural setting, near the village of Monagri/Μονάγρι (approx. 160 inhabitants). Founded in the 12th century, it boasts a pretty little church adorned with frescoes from the 12th, 13th and 16th centuries.
