PANAGIA TON CHARITON CATHEDRAL
This modern Catholic cathedral is the main place of worship for Cypriot Maronites (around 6,000 people).
The Catholic cathedral "Our Lady of Graces" (Καθεδρικός Ναός της Παναγίας των Χαρίτων) is the seat of the Maronite archbishopric of Cyprus. Modernist in style and flanked by a 22 m-high concrete bell tower, it was erected in 1961. It is the main place of worship for Cypriot Maronites (around 6,000 people). Next door, the community can also be found at the Kormakitis restaurant, named after the island's main Maronite village in the Kyrenia region.
