Small mosque erected on the Constanza bastion in honor of the Sultan's standard-bearer, killed during the capture of Nicosia in 1570.

This small mosque (Τέμενος Μπαϊρακτάρης/Temenos Baïraktaris, Bayraktar Camii) stands on the Constanza bastion of the Venetian fortifications. It was here that the Ottomans penetrated on September 9, 1570, and it was in honor of the Sultan's standard-bearer(bayraktarı in Turkish), killed during the assault, that the mosque was erected. It was rebuilt in 1820/1821 with a minaret. Damaged during the clashes of 1963 and 1964, it was renovated in 1990. It has been open to worship and to visitors on a random basis since 2003.
