PANCYPRIOT HIGH SCHOOL MUSEUMS
A single museum with twelve rooms: archaeology, Gothic art, natural history, numismatics, maps, weapons, art gallery...
These "museums" (Μουσεία του Παγκυπρίου Γυμνασίου/Mousia tou Pankypriou Gymnasiou, Pancyprian Gymnasium Museums) are twelve exhibition rooms in a single museum adjoining the island's oldest educational establishment. One room is devoted to the history of this high school, founded in 1812, where writer Lawrence Durrell taught from 1953 to 1956. There are also collections of archaeology, Gothic art, natural history, numismatics, maps and weapons, and an art gallery.
