LEDRA PALACE GATEWAY
The first crossing point opened between North and South, in 2003, just outside the Venetian fortifications to the west.
This crossing point (Ledra Palace Kapısı, Οδοφράγματος Λήδρα Πάλας/Odofragmatos Lidra Palas, Ledra Palace Crossing) was the first to be opened, in 2003, after twenty-nine years of separation between North and South. It adjoins the former Ledra Palace Hotel, which serves as a barracks for peacekeepers. Less used since the opening of Lokmacı/Ledra Street, this crossing remains interesting with the presence of numerous institutions nearby, in the buffer zone.
