RUE LEDRA
The main pedestrian and shopping street of the entire old town, between Eleftheria Square and the Ledra/Lokmacı crossing.
This approximately 1 km-long street (Οδός Λήδρας, Odos Lidras) is the main pedestrian and shopping artery of the entire old town. Named in honor of the ancient city of Ledra, Nicosia's ancestor, it crosses the southern part, between Eleftheria Square and the Ledra/Lokmacı crossing point, serving in passing the Laïki Gitonia neighborhood, Shacolas Tower and Faneromeni Square, all slightly to the right as you come from the new town. Partly covered in velum since 2015, it runs parallel to Onasagorou Street, which is also pedestrianized.
