Witness of a whole millennium, the church of Saint-Didier-en-Velay bears in its walls the traces of many generations of buildings. Its origins will initially come back to the 1160 s. The building has been shaped and reshaped over the centuries. A part of the nave dates from the th century (you can admire the Romanesque capitals of Romanesque style), while the other part dates back to the th century and presents Gothic features. The various elements (from the bell bell to the altar of the autel in wood, which is owed to Mathieu Duplay, a cabinetmaker of the country) were added, built or refreshed from the th century to the th century.
