This church dedicated to Saints Barnabas and Hilarion, located in Peristerona, is one of the few five-domed churches in the country.
Dedicated to Saints Barnabas and Hilarion, it is one of the few five-domed churches in the country along with the Agia Paraskevi church in Geroskipou, near Paphos. It was built between the late 11th and early 12th centuries in the yellow stone characteristic of Cypriot religious buildings. It has remarkable proportions in classical architecture. It is one of the oldest Byzantine churches in Cyprus. You can visit the interior for some ancient frescoes.
