NORTH CYPRUS MEADOW
Herbarium in a forest ranger's house, with a collection of 1,250 plants, flowers and herbs from the northern zone.
Here is a cultural visit that also allows you to go green. Located in a forest warden's house, the North Cyprus Herbarium (Kuzey Kıbrıs Herbaryumu) contains a collection of 1,250 plants, flowers and grasses from the northern zone, 17 of which are endemic. These plants are presented in the form of a herbarium, photos or drawings. This centre was created in 1989 by Deryck Viney (1922-2016), an atypical British man who was a linguist, Nazi hunter, botanist, bacteriological weapons expert and journalist.
