Former Catholic church built around 1280 on the model of the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris. A portion of the wall has been preserved.

Now in ruins, this ancient Catholic church (Latinlerin Saint George Kilisesi, Εκκλησία Αγίου Γεωργίου των Λατίνων/Ekklisia Agiou Georgiou ton Latinon) is said to have been built around 1280 on the model of the Sainte-Chapelle (1248) in Paris with stones from the Salamine site in Cyprus. Almost entirely destroyed by the Ottomans in 1571, it retains its southern wall pierced by high Gothic ogival windows and gargoyles.
