This small archaeological site (Salamis Kraliyet Mezarları, Βασιλικοί Τάφοι της Σαλαμίνας/Vasiliki Tafi tis Salaminas) is home to nine hypogea and tumuli, large tombs dating from the 8thto 7thcenturies BC. High-ranking figures from Salamis of Cyprus were buried here according to Mycenaean rites, along with weapons, jewels, slaves and horses. Most of the most precious objects discovered on site are on display at the Cyprus Museum in Nicosia.
