ECOMUSEUM OF BIGORRE
5 km from St. Vatican, the hamlet of Bigorre-les-Maziaux, isolated, difficult to access and surrounded by land difficult to cultivate, has gradually been abandoned by its inhabitants. A dozen cottages have been arranged in main or secondary residences. Bigorre's small cottages had families with a small herd. Their architecture has not really evolved since the Gallo era. Two of them were transformed into a museum. See, the animated model of the village of Bigorre, with 17 miniature cottages, which recounts peasant life at the beginning of the century and a slide show on the construction of a thatched roof. Collection of ancient objects, including agrarian material. Explanations about the life of the shepherd of the highlands and old popular beliefs.
