In the heart of Sliema's residential district and in a quiet street, this luxurious urban hotel offers very comfortable classic rooms, rather frequented by businessmen, but also five surprising design suites. They are declined according to colorful and offbeat themes, like the "music" suite with a drum kit to play in the room! The other surprise of the place is its ultra-designed and overflowing swimming pool on the top floor of the building and its terrace which offers a breathtaking view of Sliema when you are in the water. Its success is such that in summer it is sometimes difficult to find a free deckchair! Also on the top floor: a fitness room, a restaurant offering a trendy fusion Thai cuisine, ideal for an aperitif. The spa, although modest in size, offers a wide range of treatments. Free Wifi.

1.- Airport shuttle: we asked the hotel to organise it, highlighting that we needed a car seat / booster for a 3yo kid. The hotel just sent a cab, from a local company called ecabs, charging us almost double comparing to the cab's company fee. OK, this is normal practice, however, the driver was not there on time and the car seat was broken or he did not know how to use it. Thus, we could not use the car seat. This is very dangerous and we were quite worried. And maybe it is not even legal in Malta?
When we complaint at the front desk, the person there said this was the cab's company fault and she did not care.
If I ask a 5 star luxury hotel for something (regardless of whether the hotel has its own vehicles or that it hires them from one company or another), I expect to receive a service from a 5 star luxury hotel.
Of course we did not ask the hotel to organise our return to the airport.
2.- When we (3 yo kid, 7 months pregnant woman and I) arrived at the hotel, with bag-packs, suitcases, stroller, etc... No one helped us! The saw us struggling with the luggage and did nothing. We were quite shocked.
3.- We had booked a room (weeks ago) and requested and extra bed for the kid. When we arrived, not before, they said that the extra bed did not fit and that we had to see other options. We had to go and see other rooms and agree on the solution. Couldn't the hotel have checked when we booked it weeks ago?
5.- Restaurants at the hotel: you have Temptasian, which is not bad, and the other restaurants offer average pasta, pizza, some meat and some fish. Nothing special.
6.- Breakfast: very poor breakfast for a 5 star hotel. Only 1 out of 6 days we could get free-lactose milk. Pastry not good at all. In general, few options. I can not compare what I got there to what I am used to see in other 5 star hotels.
7.- TV channels: we expected more.
The location, if you want to go around Sliema, is good.
With regards to the views, I can not complaint because Sliema is what it is. Buildings and cranes everywhere, so we already knew it.
The small rooftop pool is nice as well, although it used to be crowded.
Majority of the staff was friendly and willing to help.
My biggest criticism is that if you go to a 5 star luxury hotel, you expect to receive the best service and you pay attention to the detail. In our case, the hotel did not meet our expectations.

We couldn’t have been happier with our welcome drinks and room ready early for us.
The room and view was incredible, beautiful balcony and perfectly clean.
It was so nice to go down to the cafe every morning and be served lovely cappuccinos by Marko! He was such a great person to talk to and remembered us every day.
We will definitely be back to lively Sliema as we have family here, and we will definitely stay here!!
