The hotel is located in the heart of the tourist complex of Portomaso, a great Maltese pride. Superb marina, shops, restaurants… The great luxury is at the meeting combining traditional comfort and modernity. The rooms have superb views from their terraces. The equipment is impressive: three outdoor pools surrounded by trees, two children's pools, indoor swimming pool, private beach club offering many nautical activities, fitness centre (gym, care, saunas…), golf, climbing or horse riding. Many Mediterranean restaurants, grills and especially the excellent Royal Thai Blue Elephant very famous for its oriental cuisine. The Bottega del Vino will also be appreciated (Italian specialities).

Typical Hilton hotel, with some serious downsides in the room quality and the service. Many amenities, which are and should be available in such category hotels, are not there.
Service was mediocre, especially given Hilton standard.
Otherwise the location is nice, but St. Julian's is probably not the nicest part of Malta.
Congress facilities were very good, food average.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel in occasione di un evento per motivi di lavoro. Avevamo una prenotazione per 3 camere interamente pagate con bonifico (bonifico di cui avevamo mandato una settimana prima la ricevuta all’hotel, che ci aveva risposto confermando tutto). All’arrivo, però, ci dicono che avevamo pagato solo la prima notte di tutte le camere e nonostante mostriamo loro (ancora) la copia del bonifico avvenuto e gli scambi email avvenuti con loro, non vogliono lasciarci accedere alle camere in quanto nei documenti che avevano li al desk del check-in “non risultavano ancora pagate le altre 2 notti”. Abbiamo così dovuto lasciare una carta di credito in cui ci avrebbero addebitato le spese da noi già sostenute.
Arrivati finalmente alle nostre camere troviamo una spiacevole sorpresa: un forte odore di muffa in particolare all’interno di cassetti ed armadi. Abbiamo subito chiesto di avere delle camere sostitutive ma ci è stato risposto in modo molto scortese “impossibile, non abbiamo mai ricevuto nessuna lamentela del genere… “. e poi “ non abbiamo altre camere, ora vi mandiamo il servizio pulizie”. Il servizio pulizie chiaramente non ha potuto fare altro che portare un profumatore a vapore che abbiamo dovuto tenere acceso per tutto il nostro soggiorno a coprire l’odore. Durante i giorni di pernottamento abbiamo avuto modo di constatare: 1. il personale addetto alle pulizie totalmente incompetente (lavano ogni giorno pavimenti e cassetti lasciandoli poi interamente bagnati…. causando inevitabile muffa) 2. parlando con altri ospiti abbiamo scoperto che l’inconveniente del “pagamento non ricevuto” era capitato a MOLTI… e non aggiungo altro!!!
Dimenticavo, in tutte le camere affianco al lavandino troverete un apposito distributore di acqua potabile… ACQUA POTABILE DA CUI ESCONO VERMI!!
In definitiva per me questo hotel di 5 stelle ha solo la “forma” (bella la struttura e gli arredi), ma per quanto riguarda tutto il resto lo posso tranquillamente paragonare ad un hotel 1 stella.. con la differenza che i prezzi delle camere sono 10 volte tanto. A mai più!!
