HILTON MALTA * * * * *
The hotel is located in the heart of the tourist complex of Portomaso, a great Maltese pride. Superb marina, shops, restaurants… The great luxury is at the meeting combining traditional comfort and modernity. The rooms have superb views from their terraces. The equipment is impressive: three outdoor pools surrounded by trees, two children's pools, indoor swimming pool, private beach club offering many nautical activities, fitness centre (gym, care, saunas…), golf, climbing or horse riding. Many Mediterranean restaurants, grills and especially the excellent Royal Thai Blue Elephant very famous for its oriental cuisine. The Bottega del Vino will also be appreciated (Italian specialities).

The rooms are very spacious and well appointed. The cleaning staff were amazing, kept our rooms particularly spotless. The beds were comfortable, good amount of storage to organise clothing.
The breakfast was a tremendous spread, with a wide range of delicious options. The wait staff were incredibly helpful, keeping on top of the room in a pleasant way. The local breads served is something I still miss.
The pool was enjoyable, especially after a long day of walking in the heat.
The concierge assisted us when we were booking various tours, looking to them for suggestions on how to spend our time in Malta, and they always came through with great options.
The location is very convenient to the great restaurant and nightlife options nearby, and everything is either a walk or quick taxi nearby.
I couldn't recommend this Hilton more highly.

Preis/Leistung stimmt überhaupt nicht. Ehrlich gesagt können wir die Bewertungen weder hier noch auf anderen Plattformen nicht glauben denn 5 von 5 oder 6 von 6 Sterne wäre ja Perfekt wovon dieses Hotel aber ganz weit entfernt ist.
Zusammengefasst:
Lage Hotel: Gut
Sauberkeit Hotel/Zimmer: Gut
Frühstück: Schlecht, wenig Auswahl, 9 tage immer das selbe, sehr laut, nicht sauber, Personal lustlos. Rauchen ist teilweise erlaubt.
Pool: OK, aber viel zu kalt, ungepflegt, liegen billig, Schmutzig. Kein Bademeister, Personal aber Positiv.
Parkhaus: Gruselig. Absolutes Ghetto. Dunkel und Dreckig. Tipp: Fahrzeug vom Hotelmitarbeiter rein/raus fahren lassen.
Hotelmitarbeiter: überwiegend Nett und Höflich
Wlan: Normal, „schnell“ kostet extra.
Zimmer: Gut ausgestattet aber Rest siehe Bilder. Sehr Hellhörig, man hört jeden schritt der Nachbarn. Ruhe eher selten. Ameisenplage auf dem Balkon. Tipp: Hafenblick buchen da schöner als Meerblick.
Publikum: Gemischte Nationen, viele denken sie wären etwas besonderes weil Sie ja schliesslich im „Hilton“ sind und viel Geld bezahlt haben und sich daher wie „offene Hose“ benehmen. Geld schenkt einem halt kein Anstand oder Rücksichtnahme.
Feiern: Private Geburtstage, Hochzeiten etc von externen Personen werden in den Bereichen gefeiert die für Hotelgäste gedacht sind. Das schränkt in soweit ein weil diese Bereiche dann nicht mehr genutzt werden können.
Rezeption und Service: bemüht, aber man muss immer wieder nachfragen bei Problemen oder wünschen. Sehr Negativ ist Herr Marat aufgefallen der uns die Rechnung des Aufenthaltes gegeben hat, dieser hielt es nicht für nötig diese auch nur im Ansatz zu erklären, zb. Steuern auf der Rechnung die nicht nachvollziehbar sind. Er war derart Arrogant das wir ihn unterbrechen mussten da auf der Rechnung sogar Positionen doppelt berechnet wurden, so mussten wir Ihm die Rechnung erklären, erst dann wurde diese Korrigiert.
Weiteres Bsp.: zu um 900 Uhr Blumen bestellt (im voraus bezahlt) zum Geburtstag, 930 immer noch nicht da. Nachgefragt, wussten von nichts, musste erfragt werden. 1300 Uhr waren die Blumen dann auf dem Zimmer. Weder eine Entschuldigung oder irgend eine Aufmerksamkeit vom Hotel selbst. Geschweige denn Glückwünsche etc. Dazu wurden die bereits bezahlten Blumen bei der Endabrechnung nochmals versucht zu berechnen und das sogar doppelt. Geht gar nicht.
Wenn man mal eine Nacht hier verweilt vielleicht mit Glück ok aber sicher keinen Urlaub zur Erholung. Für uns nie wieder.

Thank you very much for your detailed review. We are disappointed to have fallen short of your expectations during your visit to the Hilton Malta, though we thank you for your kind feedback regarding our location, the cleanliness of our rooms, and the friendliness of our team members.
We provide a full buffet breakfast in our main restaurant, with salads, breads, pastries, cereals, fruit and yoghurts, cooked items including omelettes made to a guest's preference, and local items. We vary our range of items from day to day, with the aim of meeting as many of our guests' tastes and preferences as we can. We are sorry that you felt there was insufficient variety; please do reach out to our Chefs during a future visit, as we often serve items straight from the main Kitchen which may not be on display in the restaurant. Certainly your visit was during a very busy period, and some times are busier than others at breakfast, so we advise guests on the best times to join us for breakfast if they wish for a quieter experience.
You may wish to know that our designated smoking areas are at the legally-required distance from the pool and the food and beverage areas, and these are the only spaces where smoking is permitted. As for the car park, it is not part of our hotel (though guests are welcome to park their cars there); but we shall share your feedback with the car park management.
We appreciate that there were some issues that we could have handled better, such as the order of flowers from a local florist, and the calculation of your bill, so we thank you for your patience and understanding with these mishaps.
