XROBB PARK L-GĦAĠIN
Situated in the extreme south-east of Malta, this 1 km² park surrounded by low-lying cliffs and made up of high and medium globigerine (softer than that used to build houses) offers the most beautiful view of the Munxar cliffs. Its name is rather anecdotal: the Maltese compare the boiled water of the pasta to the foam escaping from the water, the result of erosion and condensation, when after a hot day the sediments of the rock mixed with the sea escape and give rise to a film of foam on the surface of the water. At sunset, the atmosphere is indescribable. The park now serves as an environmental education and awareness center for school groups.
