RESTAURANT DE MONDION
The Xara Palace restaurant offers excellent Mediterranean and French cuisine, full of flavor and sunshine, in the hotel's luxurious setting. Named after the architect who rebuilt Mdina after the earthquake of 1693, the restaurant is built on the second floor of the building on the city's bastions. The view from here is breathtaking, offering a 180° panoramic view of the whole island, a real enchantment at sunset. The rest of the decor is sumptuous, from the silverware to the works of art in the dining room, and the service is exemplary. The menu changes quarterly and is already a pleasure to read. Prices are high, but you're also paying for the place. Chef Kevin Bonnello is one of the most renowned chefs on the island. Good cellar, with many French and local wines.
