This Palasso Gatto Murina belonged to Francesco Gatto and probably dates back to the 15th century, although it has been modified over the centuries, as shown by its 18th century baroque façade. The façade is decorated with various motifs such as shields bearing the arms of the Gatto Murina family, as well as floral and geometric motifs. Located on the main street that crosses Mdina, it now houses a large craft and souvenir shop. There is also an audio-visual show, Tales of the Silent City, with translation in six languages.
