Inaugurated in 1968, it was renovated in 2005 after a fire damaged it heavily in 2003. Since its creation, it has hosted classical ballet performances, including the Ballet Classique de Paris, operettas and then operas and theatre. On the programme: renowned local artists as well as international artists. Since 2016, it has launched a new kind of show, the musical, inaugurated with Grease. Every year, it hosts the Mediterranea festival and its anthology of shows.
