A total of 80 bus lines serve the Maltese islands (including 15 on Gozo) and run from 5.30am to 11pm. In addition, 8 night buses run from midnight to 4am (see the list on the company's website). The lines starting with X are faster (fewer stops) and connect some localities with the airport. A ticket or a card unit allows you to travel by bus only once, whether it is one station or the whole line. This is the most economical way to travel and also the most practical because the islands are very well served.
