This station, unfortunately known for the attacks of 2004, is located south-east of Puerta del Sol and welcomes trains to and from the south of Spain and Portugal. From this station, you can go to almost anywhere in Spain, including Catalonia and Andalusia. There are also regional departures and suburban trains. Tickets can be bought at separate ticket offices. For the suburbs, there are machines and points of sale just before the platforms. Be careful, some regional departures are from the suburban train platforms.

idéale pour les consignes
très belle gare avec sa luxuriante "foret vierge". Un de ses réseaux (urbain, local, régional, national sont présents dans le même lieu) vous amène de l'aéroport en quelques minutes...Si vous voulez profiter de Madrid tout de suite (le musée Reina Sofia avec la toile de Picasso Guernica est juste en face) n'hésitez pas à déposer vos bagages aux consignes automatiques. Il y en a de toutes tailles à un prix interessant

Quelle bonne surprise ce jardin tropical dans ce superbe bâtiment ! Nous avons aussi apprécié le restaurant Samarkand ,plutôt haut de gamme mais avec un seul plat et un vin au verre c'est raisonnable. Bref une halte reposante un jour de canicule entre deux musées !!

It is going in Toledo that I crossed this station. It is one of the most beautiful station Europe; while waiting for its train one sips a drink in the heart of zoological gardens. The access to the dock checks are strict and express trains are comfortable and modern
