GRAN HOTEL INGLÉS
Luxury hotel offering rooms with high-end services and noble materials
Opened in March 2018, this Gran Hotel Inglés had to live up to its predecessor, opened in 1886 and the first luxury hotel in the capital. And the result lives up to expectations, so much so that the refined design enchants the lucky visitors. The 48 rooms are also very successful, with high-end services and noble materials. With the addition of a Spa, a fitness room, a restaurant that revisits tapas and a cocktail bar where it is good to sink into the leather sofas, here is the promise of sweet moments

El desayuno del hotel es INCREÍBLE , me ha encantado . La próxima si me bolsillo me lo permite volveré a visitarles .
Gracias por hacerme sentir como un Rey .
The concierge helped us arrange a private tour of the Palace (HIGHLY recommend if you are interested in the history of Spain and the Monarchy - our guide was incredible - Alfonso - whole experience took about 2 hours and was well worth the money), and a sunset dinner at Cornamusa - this was their recommendation and WOW - one of the best dining experiences of my life - HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
The concierge service is seamless - they use WhatsApp and respond right away if you have a spur of the moment question. We went to Toledo and they sent us a long list of things to do and restaurant options in Toledo.
We had the breakfast option and each morning had our choice of a variety of eggs and a buffet that featured fruit, yogurt, cheeses, iberico ham, breads and pastries, and cereal. Very delicious and served with coffee and juice.
We would typically have a drink at their expansive bar before heading out at night.
Wi-Fi was great, showers were incredible, we had some laundry done and it came back ironed and so neat.
Check out was simple and they held our bags until we were ready to depart for the train station.
The hotel is in a great location - very close to the SOL and Anton Martin Metro Stations. From either you can get to the Atocha - although we walked most places given the great location of the hotel - everything is within a 30 minute walk. Easy access to restaurants, shopping and many of the sights you would want to see in Madrid.
While we both tried to be respectful of the language neither my wife or I can speak more than a few words of Spanish. This was not an issue at the Hotel (or frankly most places we visited in Madrid) as everyone spoke English very well. I don’t remember all of the names of the Employees or I would list them as they were all incredible.
