The Hotel Me Madrid is housed in a magnificent historic building on the Plaza Santa Ana. Rooms are modern, with plasma screens and state-of-the-art hi-fi systems. Wooden floors and purple linen add to the design spirit of the rooms. From the rooftop terrace, which houses a bar and restaurant open to all in the evenings and at weekends (between 15 and 20 euros admission for non-customers in high season, with a drink usually included), the view is sublime. There's also a fine tapas restaurant, Ana La Santa, on the first floor.
