Since 1925, wooden houses, located on the edge of the botanical garden, have been offering second-hand books as well as a few new books that cost 10% less than in bookstores. Before or after a walk at Retiro, it is really very pleasant to stroll along the Cuesta de Moyano and the thirty or so stands that have made it their home. Often threatened with a change of location, these small houses (and their structures) are a Madrid institution.
