An institution of the capital and the best place to listen to live jazz in Madrid.
Café Central has been one of the favorite places of jazz aficionados in Madrid since the early 1980s and is a true institution in the capital. As a rule, the same band plays every night for a week (between 9 and 11 pm). You have to go there to know the (very good) program. The drinks are a bit expensive and if the menu is reduced, the dishes are very well done and rather cheap. Café Central offers CDs recorded during the concerts to keep a little souvenir of the evening.
