BASILICA OF NUESTRO PADRE JESUS DE MEDINACELI
Basilica of the Spanish capital with a great popular fervor
Make three vows before the Christ of Medinacelli sculpted in Seville in the 17th century by Juan de Mesa. He is the subject of great popular fervour and there is a line every Friday to approach him. One of your three wishes will be granted if you believe it. Nuestro Padre Jesús de Medinaceli is one of the five basilicas of the Spanish capital. Built by the architect Jesús Carrasco-Muñoz between 1927 and 1930, it was entrusted to the Capuchin Friars Minor.
