TELECOMMUNICATIONS PALACE
Palace known as Notre-Dame des Communications, resembling a church, emblematic monument housing the City Hall
The monumental Telecommunications Palace, built in the 19th century, now houses the City Hall. Madrilenians have ironically named it "Our Lady of Communications", because it looks very much like a church. It is one of the most emblematic monuments of Madrid. Designed by Palacios and Otamendi, it also houses the CentroCentro exhibition center and its temporary events and the Mirador Madrid (€3 access) which offers beautiful views of the city.
