PALACIO DE LIRIA
A splendid palace nestled in a vast garden, where you can admire such marvels as Titian's Portrait of the Grand Duke of Alba.
Nestled in a vast garden, this splendid 18th century palace is the residence of Carlos Fitz-James Stuart, the 19th Duke of Alba. It is also the home of the Casa de Alba Foundation, in charge of preserving the family's art collection and archives. The guided tour of a dozen rooms, lasting about an hour, allows you to admire some wonders, such as the Duchess of Alba in White by Goya or the Portrait of the Grand Duke of Alba by Titian. Also worth seeing is the superb library with its 18,000 books, including the first edition of Don Quixote (1605).
