HISTORY MUSEUM
Museum with a baroque façade that tells the history of Madrid since its foundation with reconstructions, drawings, photos, porcelain
This museum is worth a visit, if only for Pedro Ribera's Baroque facade. Inside, you will find all the history of Madrid, from its foundation to today with reconstructions, models, drawings, photos, sculptures, porcelain, silverware, fans, furniture, weapons, coins and medals... The urban life of the 18th century is well documented with silverware and all kinds of porcelain. Goya's painting, The Allegory of May 2, 1809, commissioned by Joseph Bonaparte, deserves your full attention.
