A haven of peace in the hustle and bustle of the capital, what a delight! The Retiro is a must, especially on Sundays.

The Retiro is the lung of Madrid: green and calm, it is very pleasant to walk around. Musicians offer themselves in spectacle (notably on Sundays), thus mixing melodies and rhythms with the colors of the park. There is also a lake where you can rent boats and pedal boats, a bicycle path, a football and basketball court... The park was built in the 17th century and is very characteristic of the baroque gardens of the House of Austria. It is also home to the Velázquez Palace and the Crystal Palace, annexes of the Reina Sofia Museum.

Très bien situé, en plein centre, le parc est très grand, on peut s'y balader longtemps sans passer 2 fois par le même chemin. Autre intérêt, ses pépites architecturales comme le palacio de cristal. A consommer sans modération, surtout s'il fait très chaud !

Un endroit merveilleux pour se reposer, lire, flâner, roucouler, courir, manger une glace, admirer les fleurs, s'émerveiller devant le palais de cristal, s'asseoir sur un banc, faire du bateau, observer les petites tortues, faire des photos, s'allonger dans l'herbe, compter les arbres ... etc ...

Le poumon vert de Madrid
On a déambulé toute l’après-midi dans ce grand parc en plein cœur de la ville! On peut se reposer à l'ombre des arbres au bord de nombreux bassins, admirer des tortues ou encore faire de la barque!

C'est un grand parc, très beau et idéal pour se poser tranquillement en buvant un thé !

Vers 16h, faites une petite sieste avec un air pur, éloigné de toute pollution urbaine.
