PARQUE DEL OESTE
Park, once a place of prostitution, now the lungs of Madrid with the Casa de Campo where families and students meet
This park, the lungs of Madrid along with the Casa de Campo, runs the length of the Paseo del Pintor Rosales and Moncloa, and is home to the Temple of Debod. Once a place of prostitution, the Parque del Oeste now attracts families on picnics and students skipping classes. Watch out for the few explanatory signs, as this park has a historic character; there are still fortifications from the Spanish Civil War era. Casa de Campo could be reached by Madrid's famous cable car, but it was closed in 2024 for renovation.
