Monastery with a very good panoramic view in San Lorenzo de El Escorial offering a beautiful walk
3.5 kilometers from San Lorenzo, a large stone stands out from the massive oak forest, where three seats were carved into the granite so that, according to legend, Emperor Philip II could sit and watch over the progress of the monastery's construction work between April 1563 and September 1584. This is one of the best vantage points from which to view the monastery and, from this distance, you can't help but admire the harmony of this building, perfectly integrated into its surroundings.
