Just west of Funchal, at the Angel traffic circle, take a right and then the first right. Completely off the tourist trail, mostly frequented by locals, here's an unpretentious Italian restaurant specializing in fresh pasta and pizzas with unbeatable value for money! Try the lasagne, gnocchi or risotto. The famous gelati (Italian-style ice cream) is also homemade. Good from appetizer to dessert, generous portions and very reasonable prices.
