This popular delicatessen makes Madeira's most emblematic sandwich: the delicious and hearty prego especial no bolo do caco, consisting of traditional garlic butter bread, a piece of grilled beef, ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato and, in addition, a fried egg. At this price, it is an excellent choice, a very consistent prego. There are also variations of the famous sandwich. Finally, don't miss the local pastries, including queijada, carrot cake or pastel de nata. A real slice of local life!
