Below the church of São Gonçalo and very close to the ocean, in a renovated 19th century house, four bedrooms (double and twins) and a junior suite with a balcony enjoying a superb view (due west for sunset) over the bay of Funchal and the port. Breakfast with homemade jams is served on the terrace in a serene and selective atmosphere. The nicely furnished rooms have a lot of character, they give access to the bar, lounge and outbuildings. Very beautiful garden. Reservation recommended.
