This large pink building was the home of the Counts of Calçada who lived there until the 1940s. The lawyer and collector Frederico de Freitas lived here until his death in 1978 and accumulated a number of treasures that now adorn the walls of this museum (he bequeathed the house to the region). Large collection of azulejos (in the casa dos azulejos), precious furniture, religious art, tapestries, engravings... And a bookcase all wood paneled.

Considerable museum but the fact that followed in each room by a guard killed a bit enchantment of this very bourgeois house. Impossibility take pictures. The adjoining museum Azulejos is interesting and despite is worth a detour.
