Guaranteed Qualidade de Madeira, this traditional sweet factory founded in 1893 makes some of the best bolos de mel on the island. These preparations, cherished for four generations, breathe the perfume of yesteryear, when they were shipped to Africa and far-off lands on ocean liners. Among the sweets on offer are fruity jams and marmalades, lime or fennel sweets and crunchy ginger cookies, all displayed on the wooden shelves, as well as the cakes of the day.

Excellentes confitures "maison", bonbon avec de vrais extraits de fruits, contrairement à ceux que l'on trouve le plus souvent dans les magasins de souvenirs, bolo de mel remarquable . En plus ce n'est pas cher (2,50€ le pot de 250 gr de confiture de mangue par exemple...)
