On the road to Monte, the "Flèche" has a good-natured atmosphere in a huge typical room filled... with tourists! One usually comes there in the evening to enjoy a fado show from 8.30 pm (folk dances, etc.). The traditional skewers are cooked in a brick oven; they are not of an unforgettable subtlety, but are tender and tasty. More stylish room upstairs with a view of the bay of Funchal. A touristy but entertaining stopover, serving good food.
