In the small village of Prazeres, O Chico is one of those unvarnished establishments with an unsightly front, but one that turns out to be a good pickaxe in the end. You will love the small, nicely decorated interior room, the roof terrace and the typical family kitchen concocted with fresh produce, featuring the classics of Madeiran cuisine (to be accompanied by a good local wine!). Not too many surprises in the kitchen, however, we stay on the simple and good. The service is attentive and friendly.

Bonne adresse
Sur la recommandation de la propriétaire de notre gîte près de Calheta, nous avons testé cette adresse. Pas de grosse surprise pour une cuisine simple mais un service attentionné. Je me régalais d'avance du poulpe à l'escabèche mais j'ai été déçu car malheureusement c'était assez caoutchouteux (mais cela arrive...). La brochette de boeuf était conforme à la description mais un peu trop cuite (difficile de s'expliquer quant à la cuisson en Portugais...).
