Just before the tunnel to Caniçal (at the top of the village), a path to the right leads to the top of the peak. Perfect for a walk or a picnic. A lookout (accessible by car), with tables, offers a magnificent view of the bay of Machico, the ballet of planes taking off and landing, and the points of the southern coast of the island; this side is sheltered from the wind that storms on the other side. Count 2 hours of walk (rocky path, bring good shoes). Departure from the bus station of Machico (in front of the supermarket).

Splendide point de vue .
Une boucle partant de la baie de Machico jusqu'au Pico do Facho, et redescendant par la route et le champ de bergers. Une ascension nécessitant une bonne forme physique et sans vertige. En haut, une vue splendide à 360 degrés de la Pointe Saint Laurent à Funchal en passant par l'aéroport. Splendide rando.

Point culminant qui permet d'avoir un panorama complet de l'île.
Attention cependant à la météo, si le temps est nuageux on perd l'intérêt de la vue.

De belles randonnées vous permettront en fonction de vos envies, courtes ou assez longue d' accéder au sommet et sa vue à 360°. Je conseille de prévoir une arrivée au sommet avant midi car il y a ensuite des passages nuageux qui pourrait vous empêcher de jouir du panorama exceptionnel.
