CASA D'AVO
A yellow house with a terrace houses this restaurant, where reservations are advisable given the word-of-mouth that makes it one of Porto Santo's best addresses. The welcome is warm, the setting magnificent and the atmosphere intimate. On the plates, quality and finesse are the order of the day. On the land side, steak au poivre or pork pluma; on the sea side, swordfish fillet in Madeira sauce, tuna skewer and octopus in sweet and sour sauce lead the way. The desserts are not to be outdone, with the almond and chocolate cassata a hit with visitors.
