PORTO SANTO GOLFE

This well-thought-out golf course, designed by the late Spanish champion Severiano Ballesteros, hosts an annual European Open for specialists in the discipline. Combining the challenge of the game with the beauty of nature, it occupies a transverse stretch of land in the western width of the island, from the beach to the sandy dunes to the steep basalt cliffs. The golf course has an 18-hole layout divided into two zones: the southern loop, dotted with lakes, and the northern loop, laid out on top of the cliffs. There is also a 9-hole pitch & putt course.
