The cuisine here is popular, generous and tasty, in the art of the recipes of yesteryear. House specialties include the classic bucatini all'amatriciana (pasta with a tomato-based sauce, dried pork cheek and pecorino), as well as a wide selection of Roman-style fried dishes. In keeping with tradition, the menu will feature quinto quarto (offal) on Wednesday, gnocchi on Thursday, cod on Friday and tripe on Saturday. The wine list is dedicated to hand-picked Lazio vintages. Don't forget to book!

Abbiamo prenotato su consiglio di una coppia di frequentatori abituali e non ce ne siamo pentiti! Trattoria tradizionale e con personale gentile e simpatico. La terrazza è sulla strada, ma considerato che sei letteralmente in pieno centro è un buon compromesso. Il locale all'interno è curato e accogliente. Abbiamo assaggiato: carciofo fritto, carbonara, cacio e pepe e creme caramel. Tutto saporito e delizioso. Considerata la qualità del cibo, il servizio e la spesa sicuramente se torneremo a Roma prenoteremmo nuovamente da Matricianella!
