Founded in 1870, this is one of the Eternal City's oldest restaurants, in the touristy Monti district. It's best to sit inside to enjoy a setting dedicated to Italian cinema of the heyday. In fact, Federico Fellini had a seat reserved for him here (as evidenced by his authentic director's chair hanging on the wall). Delicious saltimbocca and tiramisu, as well as authentic spaghetti alla carbonara. A sure bet for Romans and tourists alike. Don't forget to book!

I came here with a few friends and we were able to share many items. The calamari is fried well and super fresh, the fried fish was deboned! The artichokes were so tasty and came looking like meat, never tried it like this before. The pastas were perfectly al dente and one of them had the crust of the Parmesan which added so much flavor! The veal and the lamb were cooked to perfection and the finale for dessert was some of the best tiramisu I’ve ever had! For four people with a bottle of wine, it cost under 200 euros!
