IL GIARDINO ROMANO
For over 300 years behind the gates of the ghetto, Roman Jews were able to keep their oldest recipes. The Giardino Romano (Roman Garden) is located in an old ghetto shop in an ancient seventeenth century palace. Elegant restaurant but where you still feel the atmosphere of yesteryear. Indeed, its strategic position has enriched the menu with the advice of Jewish women in the neighborhood. Pasta has amatriciana or carbonara, beef tail has vaccinara, unmissing abbacchio, or coratella (guts) are typical dishes. For frying, don't miss the artichokes at the Giudia. Desserts are made home. If you can, ask for a table in the very charming inner courtyard.
