Authentic and highly prized by the Romans, Da Bucatino is a sure value, renowned for its succulent bucatini all'amatriciana.
At Bucatino, a taste of the bucatini all'amatriciana is a must; especially since you'll be wearing a nice bib around your neck to avoid getting dirty! This restaurant focuses on Roman specialties, so the carbonara is succulent - in our opinion, one of the best in Rome. Another favorite is the pici alla gricia con carciofi, a revisited version of gricia, with the addition of artichokes. The plates are plentiful and tasty - an authentic trattoria , much sought-after by Romans!

The food was excellent. We tried the cacio e pepe, carbonara, rabbit, oxtails, and puntarelle. And a bottle of wine. Everything was excellent and the service was great! We are tourists, but felt just as welcome as the locals and had a very nice experience. Our server was a kind man with a good sense of humor - we had fun joking around with him.
The prices are very fair and portions large. Ignore the bad reviews posted about this place and give it a try. Make a reservation, be respectful, and keep an open mind. You will not be disappointed!
Buono..
